The Long and Short of It

And of course, since methodism is also under discussion elsewhere on the review, let's not forget that great Methodist speaker, Lord Donald Soper...

Asked how long it would take him to prepare a speech, he answered "Well, if you want me to talk for half an hour, it will take me a week.  If you want me to talk for an hour, three days.  Of course, if I can go on for as long as I want, I can start straight away".
