Police enter Palma mosque

From Euro Weekly, English language news in Spain.

THREE arrests were made at Palma’s main mosque in Calle Joan Mestre after police followed a North African suspect into the building. The Police say that he failed to stop for a roadside vehicle check and fled into the Mosque, so they followed him. I assume he left his motorbike outside, although nothing would surprise me.

He was arrested together with the president of the Moslem Defence League and the mosque caretaker, both of whom had reportedly tried to prevent the police from entering the premises, saying that the sanctuary of a mosque should be respected in the same way as that of Christian churches and Jewish synagogues.

On hearing of the incident, some 150 angry local Moslems protested outside the police station, saying that relations between the Islamic community and the security forces were now at an all-time low due to their holy site not being respected. Like I said yesterday there is a tendency in Muslim communities to close ranks to protect the wrongdoer.

saying that the sanctuary of a mosque should be respected in the same way as that of Christian churches and Jewish synagogues."

But mosques in Western Europe have been found to contain caches of falsified passports and other papers, explosives, and all kinds of other weaponry. Mosques are places where imams whip up the faithful at Friday Prayers, duri9ng the khutba -- no "mercy" or "charity" toward non-Muslims, and it is impossible to compose, week after week, khutbas that avoid the central message of Islam -- that the world is divided in two, between Muslims and Infidels, and a permanent state of war exists between the two as long as Infidels maintain, anywhere, any obstacles to the spread, and then the dominance, of Islam.

It is not Infidels, but Muslims, who think of mosques as their barracks  and  minarets as their missiles -- it's a favorite remark of Erdogan (or was it Erbakan -- it hardly matters).

Mosques in the Western world are regarded as outposts of islam, military encampments as well as centers of incessant propaganda, from which campaigns of Da'wa are conducted among the psychically and economically marginal Infidels. Mosques are places from which Jihad, the "struggle" to spread Islam until it dominates everywhere, is conducted. Mosques are places not only of canonical prayers, conducted as a collectivist, reminiscent-of-nuremberg rally simultaneous sign of obeisance to a Higher Authority, who brooks no disobedience.

There is no comparison to be made between mosques, centers of politics and geopolitcs against the Infidels, and churches and synagogues, or Hindu and Buddhist temples. Mosques are sui generis -- to a fault.
