Interview with Lord Pearson

Lord Pearson and Baroness Cox were the members of the House of Lords who invited Geert Wilders to show his film Fitna.  Pearson's affable manner and plummy voice belie the message, which, after a somewhat over-optimistic pledge of faith in "mild Muslims", is one of unbridled pessimism: birthrates will win out.

Demography is destiny, and "birthrates will win out" only if the people of the Western world continue to refuse to come to their senses, change their immigation policies so that no further Muslim migrants arrive, send back all those who are either not citizens or, if citizens, have failed to convince authorities that they have no desire to change the legal and political institutions of the countries -- it hardly matters to them, those Muslim migrants, which, cease to provide the comically generous benefits that are paid for almost entirely by non-Muslim taxpayers, cut off the funds that arrive from rich Arabs abroad to pay for mosques, madrasas, campaigns of Da'wa, and armies of Western hirelings -- in short, do all those things which we in the West, to protect ourselves, and even more important, a civlisational legacy in which each of us has only a life estate, and that must be preserved. A world in which Europe looks like North Africa or the Middle East, or Pakistan, is not a world that bears contemplation.
