We Have a Winner!

Once again, the winner of last month's crossword puzzle is Jeannette Hawkins of Allentown Pennsylvania. She will receive an autographed copy of Ibn Warraq's Defending the West.

Honorable mention goes to K. Mallock of Nashville, Tennessee and Aymenn Jawad of Wales.

Congratulations Jeannette and keep playing everyone!

Well done Ms. Hawkins - once again.

I've run out of comments about your Hometown but the boss (John MJ) and I like the fact that so many of you win more than once.

Yes, George, October's was a bit of a stumper. It took me over three hours spread over four days to solve it. I do hope that your move went reasonably smoothly, by the way.

Hi, Aymenn! It's good to see that you are still submitting entries. You're just pipped at the post by the random draw but Rebecca looks out for, obviously, previous winners who also got it right in order to give honour where honour is due - modern technology makes that so easy to do.

It gladdens all our hearts here at Lexcentrics Ltd. to see so many of you enjoying the NER Crossword. There are lots more of them to come and December's, which I've already seen, is particularly fiendish - it's taken me six and a half hours to solve!

Look out for my post later this month with some additional info about November's and be afraid, very afraid, about December's Crossword! Lexcentric's main Lysikrates team has compiled a most erudite set of clues deliberately in order to baffle you over the Christmas holiday period. If you think that the four teams have been fiendish so far then let me just say that 'you ain't seen nothing yet'!

How-some-ever, enjoy November's Crossword - it's simpler than it appears at first glance: honestly, would I lie to you?

Uh, don't answer that.

Great!  I've got it.  Thanks, Rebecca.  October was a real stumper for me for some reason - I didn't even get an entry in.  I didn't have as much time to work on it as I usually do - too much to do after our move.

You can see the answers for the puzzle from the month before - for October there should be a button on the bottom.

Congratulations to Jeanette and the runners-up.  The puzzles are all difficult and head-scratchers.

I wonder if it would be possible to post the solved puzzle somewhere on the site after the winner has been announced?  You know, for those of use who are word-challenged.
