Battle of Hastings
Share
clear

Hastings Castle founded in 1066 by William of Normandy.

The battle itself took place on Senlac Hill 7 miles away.   William founded an Abbey there and Battle Abbey gave its name to the villiage which grew up around.

Photograph by Mustrum Ridcully.

I'd be happy to work out a way to make curried roast beef.  You have only to ask.

(Is your husband any relation to Robert Mugabe who is also from Yorkshire?)

My husband.  A Yorkshireman with a preference for roast beef and plenty of potatos.
